Seriously. I don't know what it is, but I must have filled up my Rage Bar, because my brain's using an Overdrive. Recently, I've been having ideas without even meaning to--which isn't odd in itself, but it's never happened quite like this. Most have been characters, but also another thing--alongside a new OC, a couple more ideas for MLP antagonists and a Robot Master here and there, there's ideas for sequels to MMCR.
The OC
This guy received accidental inspiration from my high school's marathon, of all things. The theme was heroes, and me--being me, of course--decided to be a villain, so the heroes would have someone to fight. After realizing there was no way I could ever pull off a decent Ghirahim without making my dad run out and get stuff, I sprung for a mockup of another OC of mine--CHAOS_FINALITY, if anyone actually read the Bios I wrote. Of course, I don't own armor, a badass sheath, or Soul Split, so his costume got mangled pretty badly.
After noting that everyone dismissed me as just being a ninja (On an unrelated note, I was one of only four people who actually dressed up), I decided to drop the alias of CHAOS_FINALITY and wound up inventing a new character--his prototype name is "The Black."
I haven't decided on a lot of details for him, but I know this: he's an incredibly destructive villain whose objective is to destroy all color in the universe. His sword--a Ghirahim-esque cutlass named "Paint it Black" (Also a working name)--drips off droplets of black ink. If an object is struck enough times with it, it will turn grayscale--and being surrounded by many grayscale objects for too long can force his opponents to lose motivation and turn grayscale themselves.
The MLP Antagonists
To be honest, an MLP antagonist can fly out of nowhere. Often times, it only takes one picture to set off a sudden burst of creativity. But these were supplementary ideas--these had an image and some other sources--primarily text.
The first one's prototype name is "Fearre," inspired by a generic creepy smiling silhouette and a story-snippet I wrote. Sealed away by the Royal Sisters in an undisclosed time, Fearre has a humanoid shape that makes it incredibly frightening to pony-kind. It sort of lives off in its own world--and it drags others off to that world when they see it. A grimdark realm that it creates and warps to its own whim, its purpose is to keep everyone in it in a constant state of being terrified--as this, unsurprisingly, is Fearre's source of power. It claims it would never intend to kill...but it does sometimes happen on accident.
The other's prototype name is "The Professor," and you can read what little details he has here.
MMCR2/3
For some reason, I've somehow decided that MMCR would work best as a trilogy. Just come up with a basic premise, along with a couple RM ideas here and there. Only one, I like enough so far to definitely use, but a couple others are floating around. Anyway, I have the premises down, and that's what matters for the moment.
MMCR2: A Genius, A Madman
Development of my Heart-Man character from the first MMCR game has led me to decide that it's a secret desire of his to try Robot-building himself. In this situation, he has done just that--a year after the first game, he has constructed four Robot Masters of his own. The day before they're powered on, though--surprise, surprise--Dr. Wily steals them. After defeating those four, Dr. Coda appears briefly, and you have to go through four more of his creations before you're able to go to the Terminal. Of course, the combined minds of the two Doctors have more in store for the player than they'd expect...
MMCR3: Cry For Help
Only three months after the events of MMCR2, the player receives a letter from none other than Dr. Coda. It's a war invitation, but with a twist--the letter starts by Coda mentioning how he feels his superior intelligence slip away as long as he's around Wily. In a nutshell, Coda offers the player a deal--if they can foil his third and supposedly greatest scheme for world domination, he will drop his efforts for such and go back to building Robots for his initial purpose: to impress people with their intelligence.
Now, you might think this is all wonderful. Well, it's really not so great--I think it's terrible that I've thought of sequels for a game I know won't ever get made in the first place, and the rest is taking my time and energy to flesh out when I could be focusing on my actually worthwhile creative projects.
...Why am I writing this? I don't know. Maybe I'm documenting my thoughts and ideas; maybe I think someone actually cares. Anyways I've rambled for too long, so I'll post this now.
