  1. Exploding Rabbit updated the EntropiaPlanets Wiki page Exploding Rabbit.

Exploding Rabbit is a production company that was founded on April 27, 2010, when Jay Pavlina released [[Super Mario Bros. Crossover]]. For a while, it was only one person, but now, it is a team of eight people. The company is focused on game development for now, but eventually, Jay would like for it to produce films and possibly music as well. The Exploding Rabbit name and logo are a symbol of not taking things too seriously. Jay always tries to give his work a unique creative twist, especially by including comedy, and he likes to play with people’s expectations. He feels that the name and logo do a good job of representing that. ==Animals== Most of the people at Exploding Rabbit are very fond of animals. Here is a list of all the animals that have been a part of the company. *[[Squid]] *[[Pooky]] *[[Gobo]]

==Gobo Catterwaul (2007-2013)== [[File:Gobo-feathers.jpg|400px|right]] Jessy and I met Gobo in a basement room of the Stay-a-While Cat Shelter, which is really a house filled with many happy cats going about their cat business until they get adopted or reach the end of their lives.  Gobo had his own special room, away from all of the other cats, because although he loved people, he didn’t care for the company of other animals and was kind of a bully.  He was about a year old at the time.  Gobo’s first human family adopted him as a kitten, had him declawed, and then took him back to the shelter when he started biting.  When we walked into his little basement domain, he meowed at us, accepted many pets, tried to escape, bit Jessy, rubbed up against our legs, and cried at us when we left.  We set up the adoption that day.  He had been called “Bo”, originally named for the little bow-tie shaped patch of orange fur on the front of his chest, but we decided to call him Gobo (after the Fraggle and the acoustic panel).  For four years it was just me, Jessy, and Gobo living together and that was working out pretty great.  We had a lot of chomp marks on our arms and all the wires in our home, but we were a happy human-cat family!  When Exploding Rabbit coalesced into a single house, we weren’t sure how everyone else would take to our little monster, but Gobo truly loved all of their company, and seemed to win over all of the new humans with his wacky antics and randomly affectionate nature.  Everyone looked after him while Jessy and I were at our day jobs. I am so grateful for everyone’s care and attention to our kitty, because on Friday, May 17th, Gobo needed help.  I was in Atlanta for my sister’s wedding, and Jessy was at work. Gobo’s ER family was there to see that he was not okay.  He was crying and dragging himself around with his front paws.  He couldn’t seem to move his back legs.  They contacted Jessy and me so we could get Gobo to his vet as soon as possible.  The news from the vet was shocking and horrible.  There was no pulse in Gobo’s hind legs.  A clot was blocking the bloodflow, Gobo was suffering, and there was nothing we could do to help him.  Gobo had been a pretty healthy, happy kitty up until this point.  He was only 6 years old!  But the most humane thing to do was to let him go.  I was able to see Gobo for the last time through a g+ video chat on our phones.  He left us the same way we had met him, biting Jessy’s hand a few times, meowing, and accepting many pets and hugs.  Over the past five years Gobo has been a sweet, violent, rambunctious, adorable, temperamental, loving, playful, mischievous, wonderful cat and he made every day a better day for us.  He loved cantaloupe, mushrooms, afghans, feathery toys, watching birds through the window, slap fights, rubber bands, sleeping on people’s feet, and escaping to the outside just to stop a foot from the door.  I am writing this from my mom’s couch in Atlanta, so I can only imagine the empty spaces Gobo has left behind at the house, but I know he is missed and that he was loved by a big human family.   Right now, my most comforting thoughts are that we were able to adopt Gobo and give him a happy life.  So, in memory of Gobo, give your cats, dogs, hamsters, or whatever other companion animals you may have a little extra love from us!  Support your local animals shelters if you can!  If you are looking for a kitty companion, maybe give the chompy, slightly grumpy guy in the basement room a chance for a new home.
