ALWAYS BET ON DUKE. Just need to dig up my copy of DosBox so I can fire up the game and rip an explosion sprite, and we're there.
It's 16-bit. Anyway, the RD-008 skin has been released, so... EDIT: Damn, it was just the level skins...
Ladies and gentlemen, I am very excited to present my new skin for Bill. Doomguy! I created this sprite edit using Jimbo from Contra III as a base. He took quite a few hours to create so I hope he turned out well. The SNES port of DOOM has some excellent soundtracks, so I think Doomguy would make an excellent addition to SMBC. Thanks everyone for the comments. Aside from a 16-bit version of my Plumbinator skin, no immediate plans. However, I can easily think of some other cool skin ideas for Bill, including Robocop, the Terminator, the Punisher, and a Starcraft Terran marine. I am currently working on a skin for Link, which is progressing fairly well.
That looks amazing! It will be nice to play as an alternate skin for the Contra character, and especially as Doomguy. I'd like to add that I love the blood as the enemy death animation. It'll be crazy watching Goombas and Koopas explode like that!
New skin:Marco rossi from metal slug: I need a custom climbing sprite and portrait.Ah,and also transparency.
Great choice for a skin! Looking good so far. Like Mario-Fan said, transparency is very easy to fix and can wait until last. There's a huge sprite sheet for Marco here. If a custom climbing sprite proves too difficult, you could probably take one of his sprites where he's lying down/swimming and rotate it 90 degrees counter-clockwise to achieve a "climbing sprite" effect.
