Confirmed Character select: Simon took Samus's animation

I was testing Samus' music after testing CV2 Simon's (I'd already changed the skin to Trevor). I loaded up Samus, and I guess I pressed right at the last second:

It finished playing Samus' appearance fanfare and after that, all that happened was Trevor standing there, spending about a second standing and half a second ducking repeatedly.

Uh... How? Did you press RIGHT right as you were pressing JUMP? That's what I understood.

Uh, I can't remember exactly, I might have done. I think I did.
