Sorry if it bothered you, Ryuza. It surprised a lot of people when the trophy was agained but not the rank. BUT WHY COULDN'T I CLAIM MY BLOOPERANK?! Just kidding. I will probably have to pass by the blooper rank again after the "Spam" and "Forum games" will be fixed. ... They'll be fixed, right?
I'm not sure if that can be changed, I can ask Jay next time hes on though. You guys are welcome If you want Rey I could change your rank to the same as World 1-1 for now It'll update to 9 like normal once you reach that rank.
I'm kind of surprised no one else seems to have pointed this out before, but... I'm quite certain it's Blooper not Bloober. I've always known it as Blooper growing up, and a quick Google search reveals them to be called Bloopers. Also, I'm glad the rank is working again! EDIT: Upon further inspection, it appears to go by both names (makes sense, since b's and p's are linguistically related), but I am seeing more Blooper than Bloober.
In Super Mario Bros all the way through Super Mario RPG (or possibly a bit later) they were Bloobers. After that they were Bloopers. Since SMBC is based on the original SMB, Bloober was deemed more appropriate. There was a huge discussion about it a few months ago, it was pretty fun.
You're not the first to point this out. Myself already asked. Bloopers original name was Bloober, but then they changed to Blooper. We call it Bloober here because of the SMB thing (y'know, SMBC forums...).
Interesting. I guess I missed that discussion. I still find it a bit strange, though. I don't think I've ever known them as "Bloobers," and I've been playing Mario games for over 20 years (starting, of course, with the original Super Mario Bros.). Oh well. I'm still mostly just glad that I'm finally at that rank.
Since I don't wanna work, I made a prototype for my promotion: Like said, it's a prototype. I don't even have the frames for the standard animation. ... No, I'm not hoping to get promoted. Just wanted to have fun and to share a part that fun.
A little while back I tried to start a bit of a push to get you mod or special status because of your wiki duties. I think others agreed it would be a good idea.
→ I was thinking about the case of becoming an admin just like sbq92. Of course I will probably never become one in any way. Like I said, I was having fun.
→ Hacking the site? Nah more seriously, becoming a mod is a promotion. If you manage to be, like, very useful to keep things nice and ordered in a certain section, there are chances you can become a mod. Like, very little chances. I don't know how you can become a super mod. And to become an admin, your best way is to become part of the ER direct developper team.
