Request Powerups from newer Mario games

How about adding the Hammer Bros. suit, Tanooki suit, Super Cape, Ice Flower, and Mega Mushroom from the later games? Since the other characters have a wide variety of attacks, giving Mario and Luigi some new goodies would balance things out. Not to mention, but I'm pretty sure everybody would love to plow through SMB1's levels with the Mega Mushroom

Also, with new powerups, Mario and Luigi won't rust from disuse if the ability for the other characters to jump on enemies is restored. I'd like to see that brought back because the non-Mario characters are actually pretty helpless in many stages, particularly against Flying Cheep-Cheeps and Bullet Bills.

Especially when the fuckers hit you from underneath. Used to be that it would count as a stomp, and they'd die. Now YOU die.

Yeah, but they'd be even better with some of the new powerups.

Um.... But it would ruin the idea of Mario and Luigi from the original SMB/SMB2J you know that right?

A idea in the future is to make SMB3 Mario a new character that has the powerups and grabbing shells.

People would still have the option of turning off the new powerups. I just think it be fun thing to add.

I would like to have the Hammer and other powerups from SMB Special, the Ice Flower from NSMBWii, and the Flower from SM Land.

I think it could be a cheat (if you wanted the new power-ups you could just turn on Modern Mario, I think that it would have to be able to use it from the start though...).

I think for something like this should be in a SMBC sequel that's advanced like SMBX.

Whats SMBX?

It's a fan-made Mario game that has five playable characters (Mario, Luigi, Toad, Peach, Link) and it combines several elements from the Mario series, so you get a bunch of the different power-ups (including the boot) and even Yoshi. It's a lot of fun.

Good question... It may very well be quite difficult to find now. I think the creator had to remove it due to legal issues, but there are probably still some download links floating around.

This feature should be added as a cheat, and when used it would affect Mario and Luigi.

P-Wing (Super Mario Bros. 3)
Hammer Suit (Super Mario Bros. 3)
Frog Suit (Super Mario Bros. 3)
Mega Mushroom (New Super Mario Bros.)
(NOTE: If this is included, the cheat should change the Normal Mushroom's colour to red with white spots.)
Mini Mushroom (New Super Mario Bros.)
Propeller Mushroom (New Super Mario Bros.)
Penguin Suit (New Super Mario Bros.)
Ice Flower (New Super Mario Bros.)

I would vote for the following:
- Super Leaf
- Hammer Suit
- Frog Suit
- Ice Flower
- Propeller Mushroom
- Blue Shell
- Cloud Flower
- Boomerang Flower

How would you fit all those in? There are only 46 power-up blocks in the game.

Yeah, but some of them will just end up containing Mushrooms.
