    The entire trailer was practically skin related. It never came out and said "these are skins", but it showed off a lot of the new visuals available in the game.
  2. SketchMan3 Level 3: Paratroopa

    Sorry. I meant that it didn't seem to mention the fact that they were getting the community involved in creating the skins.
  3. silentshadowxp Level 5: Spiny

    I hate to say this, but it might be a good thing he didn't mention that...

    *looks at the sore subject about the youtubers we just moved away from* >.>;
  4. SketchMan3 Level 3: Paratroopa

    Yeah, that's what I was thinking, too.

    To be honest, the trailer was about the game itself. Even if the community itself makes skins, it would be kind of counter productive to point that out in the trailer cause that isn't what it's about. The trailer was made to cover features, not tell us how they work :p

    Thanks for the information you guys. I hadn't heard of Joy2Key or xpadder. That helps immensely.
  8. Crownjo Level 6: Lakitu

    Imo I liked xpadder more then Joy2Key.
  9. silentshadowxp Level 5: Spiny

    I downloaded xpadder yesterday because you suggested it and I have to agree that it is much better than Joy2Key.

    Someone (the great kyoo) said:
    "Anything than is not Joy2Key is better than Joy2Key!"

    I personally wanted to try MotioninJoy, but I always forget and keep using Joy2Key, and that works fine to me, so I don't feel any urge to change. :p

    Back when I originally played with Joy2Key the joystick always felt weird. And since the Xbox D-Pad is awful for games like this, I've just been using the keyboard to play. I kinda just got used to it after a while. But when I tried xpadder the other day, it felt perfect, and was easier to set up than Joy2Key.

    On another note, I like having down and z both mapped to the R trigger so that I can do Mega Man's slide with just one button. That will be especially nice once 2.0 is out since Bass has the dash jump. :D Oh, and it also automatically downward thrusts for Link, which makes it all the more awesome!

    *not using XBox controller*
    I like playing the way it was intended, or the way I feel it was intended: D-pad (of course, you must have a working one), 3 buttons + pause button and nothing else. :) Joy2Key also allow 3 inputs for a single button, but I don't like doing so, because it goes too far from the original games and it's not as natural for me. :)

    What type of controller are you using? I like using my xbox controller because, with the current setup I have, I never have to "move" any of my fingers to perform an action. My right thumb covers both X and A, my index fingers are on the triggers (C is mapped to L, R is my custom one), and my left thumb is on the joystick. Pausing the game is the only real time I'd have to change the position of my fingers.

    The reason I had the idea to map the two buttons together was because I've never played as Bass before, and when Jay mentioned a dash jump it immediately made me think of Mega Man X, so it would feel more retro and natural to me to have a separate button to dash with. Maybe not NES retro, but SNES retro is just as good for me.

    Now that I think about it though, there has to be a way to switch the new weapons. You might need more buttons now, unless they're going to have you push start all the time to switch them ala Mega Man.

    That's different looking. Kinda reminds me of the old Sega Genesis controller.

    Awesome! Keep it up :star::star::star::star::star:

    I think I saw Screw attack's symbol sprite on Samus's weapons :p
  19. Foxfiend Level 5: Spiny

    I think you can clearly see Samus using screw attack at 3:00

    Oooh.... so that's where Screw Attack got their name from.
