but they can still kill you on one hit as bill rizer right?
  2. Mitewing Level 7: Bloober

I'm guessing the Cheep Cheeps can still be stomped.
  3. TiagoDu Level 6: Lakitu

Maybe they won't hurt non-stomping characters on the upwards arc, but can do it on the downward one.

SUPER LIKE! Those cheap cheaps are deadly even with the invincible cheat on, because you accidentally stomp them and mess up a jump. It's very nice to hear they "have been modified to be less deadly." :D
  5. aliceandsven Level 12: Super Mod

I'm feeling kind of apprehensive about this...

I think it will be a good change though, now that each character has more options to kill stuff with.
  6. Rey D Level 9: Spike Top

→ I've noticed that too and wondered why it was retracting, but now it makes much more sense! :D

    ...Gonna check something.
  7. Mitewing Level 7: Bloober

Ok I understand. I actually had the idea that if Jason is a part of SOPHIA now, one could make skins to change him into Mario, Luigi, and Link...so each of them could pilot SOPHIA.

About how is SOPHIA gonna be balanced, I'm sure her wall and ceiling climbing abilities are now powerups too, similar to the original game.

Hmm...while I really like the idea of making the characters more faithful to their original games, I personally really liked the ability to stomp enemies as all of the characters. It's one of the many features I loved about SMBC compared with some other crossover games. Is it possible that the ability to stomp enemies as any character could be retained as a cheat option?

Three custom sprites were used, along with recolouring.
EDIT: CUSTOM SPRITERS NEEDED TO MAKE ZELDA I LINK CROUCHING

In SMBC, everybody has it's own jumping'n'hovering Tank!:p
    Very good job Mario-Fan.

So, a few simple questions for Jay or anyone who knows :
    1. Since skins are apparently in-game already, will there be an option menu for changing them while in level, or is it from the main menu or something?
    2. Can you mix and match skins easily? (Example GB skin bill on SMB3 skin world)
    3. Does each character have different music for each skin, or does each skin have music, or does the skin not change music ay all?
    4. Haggleman supposedly hits faster than ryu and protoman has a different blaster position then megaman, so my question is : Do most skins have small changes like this, or are there only a small amount of skins with small differences?
    5. Would you mind revealing a estimate of how many skins there will be in 2.0? Like, is there one or two alt skins for most characters, or will there be a large amount like 5-10?
Either way, I'm very glad this update looks so good, and it will be worth the wait for sure :D
  13. DarkBowser100 Level 4: Buzzy Beetle

I agree with you. And by the way, welcome to the forum.
  14. William Jhordhan Level 1: Goomba

Thanks! I've actually had a forum account since 2010 (we made our accounts the exact same day according to your profile) but never actually got around to posting much, seeing as there wasn't too much more stuff happening until a month or so ago. With 2.0 and following updates it looks like there will be a lot more reasons to visit the forums, with skins and other community things.

    WTF
  16. silentshadowxp Level 6: Lakitu

    1) yes
    2) yes
    3) each skin in game at the moment has its own music, no word on whether or not all future skins will have their own music
    4) very few
    5) nes/game boy/snes sprites for each character, and at least one alternate skin for each character. Ryuza posted a spoilered list of skins, but you'll have to search for that one.

It's on the wiki, inside skin templates, there is a "spoiler" section. Here are listed all the skins.
EDIT: Here, to be more exact.
  18. Mario-Fan Level 9: Spike Top

I put that up. I felt there should be an easier way to find them.
  19. Foxfiend Level 5: Spiny

You know I have been thinking about something. Something what I don't remember to be talked about, to be honest I never EVER seen anyone talk about it.
How many buttons will it play with? Will it be still 3 button highly unrealistic to actual NES controls or will it FINALLY become 2 buttons have true NES-ish controls?
I mean I am surprised that nobody ever even complained about that or talked about it. It just weird... I mean really people who not noticed it NES controller has two buttons A and B. SMBC plays with with 3 buttons! I can see reason behind it for the past like it was a button for extra stuffs like Rush but now I just see no reason for it with all the weapons and tools and stuff. It just need now a select button which brings up inventory for some characters or let you switch just like real NES controls. There is really absolutely no reason for 3 buttons now so I personally seriously hope it will be played with 2 buttons so I control characters just like in their own games like throw my alt weapon with Simon by pressing up and attack.

You forget that there was a select button on the nes, so 3 buttons actually worked.
