Though he does not come from the NES, he has NES sprites. This Character may be fun to play with for challenges. He has the double jump and very small gun. Powerups would kill him. On higher difficulties, coins and stars could kill him. As a bonus feature, playing on easy or very easy would give him his pink bow. @Tsukiyomaru0: Anyway, this a request for The IWBTG kid. Go make a request on battle kid and keep this thread on topic.
He should only be playable in Extreme That game isn't supposed to be beaten. It's supposed to make the player go ragequit!
good idea, but I still think the bow on VE or E would work. I actually may go back and beat it. Last time I got stuck on mother brain with all other bosses defeated. God damn that boss is hard!
I think I got stuck on that random moving massive head, rather like the massive head in Cave Story. Maybe that was Mother Brain too.
The Bosses Were: Mike Tyson (the boss of "the nightmare begins") Mecha Birdo (the boss of ghosts and goblins) Dracula (the boss of castlevania) Kraidgief (the boss of "kraidgief's lair") Bowser, Wart, Wily (the boss of "the factory") Mother Brain (the boss of tourian) Dragon Devil (the boss of the 100.00km trip beneath the stars) The Father (the final boss) No floating head. Were you playing a fangame or something?
Fuck, I looked on my old computer and found I had both a fangame made by some Game Maker guy and the game itself. I was on stuck on Dracula... and that was two years ago. I have the game downloaded on my new computer but didn't play much of it. Not into trial and error, but ashamed of my lack of skill to play games.
I know what battle kid is, thank you very much. The kid has no powerups whatsoever and that makes him unique. And by the way, this a thread to request the kid, not compare the two.
Battle Kid and The Kid aren't that different. The Difference is that Battle Kid gains power ups at a lower rate, so low that wall jump is coming in Battle Kid 2. Plus, if you convert The Kid to 8-bits you get Battle Kid either way.
Okay, dude, you really aren't getting it? IF YOU WANT BATTLE KID IN THE GAME, DON'T REQUEST IT IN A THREAD FOR A DIFFERENT CHARACTER.
LOOK, I AM SICK OF YOU TALKING ABOUT FRICKEN BATTLE KID. START A THREAD ON COMPARING THE TWO OR START A REQUEST FOR BATTLE KID. GOD!
AND THEN THEY ALL GOT BACK ON TOPIC. I can't say I've played a lot of IWBTG (if I wanted a game to emasculate me I'd load up some Barbie game on the GBA), but I can see him being a fun character. Having powerups kill him seems like a bit much though. It's truer to the original game, but SMBC wasn't built around the gimmick of being practically unbeatable so it wouldn't translate terribly well. It might be better to have it so that occasionally instead of powerups, a random enemy pops out of the box instead? And the more powerups you have the more powerful the enemies (so you if you have one it'll bring out Goombas, if you have all of them it could even bring out a Hammer Bro)? Just some random ideas to rerail things.
