That's okay, you're fully welcome to speedrun however you like. There are some challenges posted on this site that have specific rules, though, for extra challenge or a different kind of speedrun. When doing those challenges you should try to stick to that challenge's rules.
Newest addition to my speed-run roster! Difficulty: Very Easy Cheats: Invincibility, Infinite Time, Infinite Ammo (for fun mostly) Character and Time: 24:03.7 I think the odd couple seconds lost grabbing power-ups early on, was made up when I had Hover for levels like 6-3 and such. Kinda surprised that Sophia trumped Bass in time though.
It's been a while, but I've done another Ultimate Speedrun Challenge. I could have done the Extreme challenge, but I opted to just go with this one this time. Also, there's no video this time, sorry. Character: (GB Link, SML2 theme, GB filter) Time: 00:26:02 (from beginning of 1-1 level card to 8-4 axe) Difficulty: Very Easy Cheats: Invincible (required), Infinite Time Deaths: 0
I know about this, that's what I meant to refer to when I said "Extreme." I guess it's "Extra" not "Extreme." There's no reason I can't still do the normal Ultimate Speedrun Challenge, especially considering the only real difference is the enemies are now supposed to be invisible. I actually took advantage of bouncing off of them in some cases for this run, which is a lot harder to do when they're invisible.
I definitely plan on doing some runs of the upgraded variety. I really just felt like going for a normal USRC this time around. I should see how I do with Link in the EUSRC.
