Super Mario Bros. Crossover/Game Modes
A list of game modes in Super Mario Bros. Crossover.
All Characters
This mode plays exactly like the original Super Mario Bros. except you can choose a different character at the beginning of each level.
Survival
When characters die in this game mode, they cannot be used again until you revive them. Characters can be revived or fully upgraded at the beginning of each new world (after you defeat Bowser or enter a warp pipe) or right before the last level, 8-4. Reviving or fully upgrading a character costs one life. If you revive a fallen character, you will be able to select them again. If you revive a character that is already alive, the character will be given firepower. The game ends when all of your characters are dead regardless of how many lives you have.
Single Character
Play as one character for the entire game. This operates just like the original Super Mario Bros.
Single Character Random
It's just like Single Character Mode, but every time you start a level your character will be randomly selected.
